MyKot is the kot finder of Brik - Student in Brussels and PLE (Plateforme logement étudiant). MyKot aims to help all students in Brussels in their search for a kot.

No, you need an account to see the student rooms. Also, be sure not to forget to choose your college or university.

Log in, go to "account" and then "accountinformation". At the bottom, click on "delete account".

Log in and, under "favourites", find your saved rooms.

You certainly can. Above your search results, you will find a button with different filters. On the homepage, you can also already filter by price and location.

On the search results page, above the search results you will find a bar where you can filter by different parameters.

There are 4 kot types on MyKot:
Room: standard room with washbasin
Room+: room with private shower
Studio: room with private bathroom and kitchenette
Appartement: more spacious residence, where the bedroom is separated from the living area. 

Every landlord lists the preferred language. Keep that in mind, that way you won't get any surprises.

Can't reach an agreement together? Contact MyKot by creating a ticket and explaining your situation.

The landlord chooses how quickly and frequently he replies to messages. If it takes too long, contact a landlord from another student room that meets your requirements.

Your landlord can easily draw up your contract via MyKot. Via chat, you receive a message to complete your account. As soon as your details are correct, they will be added to the contract. Please note that it is still necessary to sign your contract manually. This is not done via MyKot.

Brik and PLE created a new 2023 MyKotmodel contract largely inspired by the Brussels student housing rental agreement. But it deviates from it on a few points. In doing so, Brik and PLE aim to ensure affordability, provide clarity on contracts that expire and maintain the balance between the landlord and the student tenant.

This model contract is a reference document, but mandatory for all users of MyKot. However, some provisions are not essential, so deviations are possible. Be sure to contact Brik or PLE before making any changes.

MyKot is the Brussels room locator where you can only rent rooms that comply with all regulations. As a landlord, you first register on MyKot. Brik and PLE then check the quality of the rooms. If they meet the regulations, they are offered through MyKot and Brik and PLE are responsible for any mediation between the landlord and the student tenant.
