Am I required to use the MyKot model contract?
Yes, you are required to use the contract if you advertise your room through MyKot.

Can I change the details of my room after I published my room on the website?
Yes, this is possible. 
Via "my rooms and buildings" in your account, you can edit the following details of your lots:
  • Availability
  • Rental information (prices, costs)
  • Presentation (name, description, facilities ...)
  • Media (photos, videos)

Can I draw up a contract through the website?
This is possible through the MyKot model contract generator. Log in, find the room for which you want to create a contract and click on "edit". Go to "model contract" to create your contract for that room.

Can I list multiple student buildings on MyKot?
That is certainly possible, you manage your student buildings in your account.

Can I make changes to the MyKot model contract?
On MyKot itself, you can only use the standard model contract. If you do wish to make adjustments, this can be viewed. Create a ticket.

Do I have to fill out the MyKot model contract manually?
You can automatically generate a contract. A lot of data will have already been filled in for you, based on the tenant and your room information. So make sure your profile is always correctly filled in. You can still edit fields manually, except for the price.

Does MyKot have to approve my room first?
Yes, MyKot carries out quality controls. If your student room meets all the Brussels standards, it is updated on MyKot and you can publish and rent your kot.

How do I create a model room?
When creating a new building, you also create the student rooms. You can choose either a "room" or a "model room".

How do I make a duplicate of my room?
Making a duplicate of your room is not possible. Do you have lots with the same area, layout and price? Then you should create a model room. When creating a new room, check "model room".

How do I remove a student room?
You select the room you want to delete and click "edit". Now you can select "delete room" at the bottom.

I am not receiving a confirmation email from MyKot. What now?
You will receive emails at the email address you registered with. Not receiving anything? Be sure to check your spam filter. Is the mail not there either? Create a ticket and we will gladly help you.

Probably MyKot is still validating your room at this moment. You will receive a message as soon as you can publish it. Is something else wrong? Create a ticket and together we will look for a solution.

Yes, if you want to rent out a room through MyKot, you have to go through a quality check.

What is a model room?
A model room is created when you have a student building with a number of identical rooms. These rooms are identical in terms of surface area, layout and price.
Model rooms and the corresponding images are all the same. Using a model lot saves you a lot of work when entering the information of your student rooms. You can also create more than one model room.

What is the MyKot model contract?
The MyKot model contract takes into account the Brussels legislation on koten. It is mandatory for all users of MyKot. More info here.
